New Space Technologies s.r.o. (NST), a member of the KRILL B.P. holding group (KBP), and EXCALIBUR ARMY spol. s r.o. signed a cooperation agreement during the Eurosatory international defense and security exhibition in Paris. The agreement establishes a partnership focused on the joint development of a new special-purpose military vehicle, designated MEANDER.
NST is a Czech engineering and manufacturing company specializing in the development and production of special-purpose vehicles. EXCALIBUR ARMY is one of the leading companies in the field of military and civilian equipment production, modernization, and maintenance. Supported by a strong industrial base, extensive business capabilities, and technical expertise enhanced through the synergies of the Czechoslovak Group holding, EXCALIBUR ARMY represents a key partner for joint defence industry projects.
The agreement reflects the shared ambition of both companies to develop the MEANDER vehicle, which will be based on the proven KALAN platform and adapted to meet the requirements of modern armed forces and future operators.
MEANDER is a new multi-purpose amphibious tracked vehicle designed for the transportation of personnel and cargo, as well as military operations in challenging terrain and amphibious environments.
Under the partnership, EXCALIBUR ARMY will primarily be responsible for defining the military, operational, and end-user requirements for the new vehicle. NST will lead technical development, engineering, and manufacturing activities, including the production of the first prototype and subsequent serial production within the MEANDER programme.
The agreement also covers cooperation in:
- the joint engineering and technical design of the MEANDER vehicle,
- the exchange of technical information, documentation, and expertise related to the development and production of special-purpose vehicles,
- vehicle testing and validation activities,
- the joint presentation of the project to professional audiences and industry stake holders,
- the coordination of future technical and production development of the MEANDER programme.
The first major milestone of the partnership will be the completion of the MEANDER prototype, which will be officially unveiled at the Future Forces Forum in Prague from 21–23 October 2026.
The cooperation agreement has been concluded for an initial period of three years and establishes a framework for long-term collaboration in the development of advanced defence technologies.
The signing of the agreement marks an important step in combining theengineering, manufacturing, and commercial capabilities of both partners. The objective is to develop a vehicle that meets current and future military requirements while offering strong potential for both domestic and international markets. The MEANDER project also demonstrates the commitment of both companies to advancing Czech defence technologies through industrial cooperation.
